HELPING THE COMMUNITY:

Noble Endeavours is working in the Minuyongan area (and beyond) in a variety of humanitarian and community projects. These projects are aimed at breaking the generational cycle of poverty, empowering the people, providing sustainable incomes, and providing opportunities for a more prosperous future.

Training & Education In 2008 a kindergarten was established and equipped in Minuyongan Village and educated and fed 36 children daily. In June 2009 after additions to the school building, Grade One has commenced along with a new Kindergarten class. We now have 70 students every day. A larger building is planned to accomodate current and future students. Construction starts in May 2010 and will eventually result in a complete Primary and High School with an Adult Education Centre for the village. Your tax deductible monthly child sponsorship provides all school resources including teaching staff, a hot meal every day, books and clothing. alternately your one off donation can help fund the expansion of the new school building.

Health Services In October we held our first Medical & Dental Clinic in the area. Over 4 days up to 2000 people were provided with free dental work, medical checks,a hot meal, hair cuts and even a pedicure! As a result of our volunteer teams dedicated and selfless work 4 people including the boy pictured above, lives were saved from very serious conditions. The boy shown above was just hours from certain death and that would have been his fate without the intervention of the team and the support of local supporters who got him to hospital and ensured he received the treatment he needed. Today, that young boy is back in the Noble Endeavours School continuing his education. Ultimately, Noble Endeavours will establish fulltime mobile medical and dental clinics to provide free health services to the isolated tribal region of Central Mindanao. Donations are needed to purchase medical supplies and equipment.

WATER PURIFICATION

Water in the area is plentiful, but polluted due to the high rainfall and lack of sanitation. Noble Endeavours is providing water purification plants and has the support of SKYJUICE FOUNDATION, an Australian based organisation that provides sustainable water solutions for humanitarian and disaster relief. The first filtration unit was was installed at the local Minuyongan tribal school in April 2009. The SkyHydrant has the capacity to provide 10,000 litres of purified water per day. individual 20 litre containers are being supplied to villagers for use in their homes. Further purification plants will be placed in other villages, providing a free water supply right across this isolated region.
